QingMing with a big bang!

This year's QingMing is another occasion for all the Lee clan to come together and continue a tradition that is long cherished and followed by us.

However, this time around, 2 strings of firecrackers (bought from an enterprising seller on his motorbike that morning) were lit to bring new cheers to all of us who attended Ah Kong and Ah Mah's gravesite. "Huat-ah!"

(..close your eyes, listen to these firecrackers, and imagine that the firecrackers were much longer than the 13 seconds of video here..)

We are in Facebook!

Dear all,

Slide.com will be shutting down on March 6th 2012, so those slideshows will not be available anymore after this date. So I've created a Facebook account to post the photos.

Update:
For privacy purpose, please let me know your Facebook name so I can add you in. (I'm still new to Facebook so please be patient.)

Remarks:
1. Only those who have Facebook account and accepted in the family category will be able to view the photos.

2. I understand some of us do not want their photo to be uploaded onto Facebook. Please let me know who you want me to exclude in our photo albums and I'll delete it.

We are all teachers..

Ying took her first steps in early childhood teaching in Auntie Nellie's preschool in Singapore.

Yes, we can say that in the end, we are all teachers of sorts..just as Ying was initiating her own possible teaching career, following the footsteps of her grandfather, Lee Liang Chern..

Farewell Uncle See Pek

Our dearest Di Pek (二伯) (Lee See Pek @ Lee Kok Mai) has passed away on 13th April 2011 at about 1:15am.

Di Pek, may you rest in peace.

Here are some photos I’ve taken using my mobile phone’s camera at the funeral held on 15th April 2011.
親愛的二伯,

願您放下您心中的罣礙,跟隨阿彌陀佛往生西方極樂淨土。

一路好走…
阿彌陀佛…

p/s: Puay Koh, please upload the photos and videos you’ve captured. Thanks.
